  • SEMI Foundation Mission and Vision
    The SEMI Foundation was formed in 2003 to support education and awareness of the field of high technology. The Foundation’s “High Tech U” program encourages high school students to stay in school; take math, science and technology courses; and see that they can have a bright future in the microelectronics industry.

  • 2007 SEMI Pacific Northwest Committee Scholarships
    The SEMI Foundation and the Pacific Northwest Steering Committee of SEMI are offering three $2,000 scholarships that may be awarded to High School and University applicants for the 2007/2008 school year.
  • Recognizing the Drivers—Sustainable Sponsors of the SEMI Foundation
    SEMI High Tech U (SEMI HTU) delivered 69 programs internationally. While the core program is sustained by companies such as Applied Materials, Air Products, Intel, ASML and Novellus, there is still a need to fund the development of new modules for the core program, as well as the scholarships granted to students that participate.
  • Salt River Project Hosts HTU for Students
    As the solar industry continues to explode across the country, corporations are looking for college graduates to possess the skill and knowledge needed to keep up with the growth of the renewable energy industry. Despite the fact that California has the third-highest demand for solar energy in the world, more of these high-tech jobs are headed to other countries.
  • SEMI High Tech U in for the Long Haul
    For the past six years, the SEMI Foundation has reached over 30,000 students, both domestically and abroad, with its innovative workforce development program, SEMI® High Tech U™ (HTU). With 69 programs to date, targeted at students as well as teachers, HTU has successfully exposed these high school-aged students to educational and career opportunities in the math, science and technology fields.

  • SEMI Foundation High Tech U and Events Calendar
    June 30-July 2, 2008 Lam Research Corporation in collaboration with San Jose State University will host 36 local high school students for three days of hand-on learning. Program sponsors include Lam Research Corporation, Advantest, Air Products and Intel.
